OK. This isn't barbecue...it's basketball. This should be allowed since Cookshack is in OKC, and we Cookshack fans want to congratulate those that supply our smokers and forum.

I couldn't help but be impressed with the Thunder yesterday and this post season. They go through Dallas, LA, and San Antonio...winners of 10 of the last 13 NBA finals. Do it in style. No series go to a game 7.

Then what does their biggest star do with 14.6 seconds left in the game clincher. He runs over and hugs his mom and brother...and says, "Thank you". Class act. Maybe LeBron, who I like, could gain with a little of this humility.

THUNDER UP.

This team had 3 wins a few years ago, fired the coach and put Scott Brooks in as Interim, hired him at the end of the season. Picked up Westbrook, pick up Harden and

NOW???

You can NOT imagine what that arena is like. Take the Final Four in College, mix in some World Series Madness and oh a few Football National Championships and you can start to get it.

It's like a rock concert. My ears are ringing after every game.

And to make it BBQ... our restaurant is just down the block and near enough to eat and walk to the game Smiler

All I can say is... think Rock Concert.

When we hit the shot to go up by 1 point, it's was louder than standing next to a 747. They call it Loud City for a reason. I have no idea how they play in that if you're the opposing team.

Oh, and the BBQ was great (keeps it a BBQ thread) Wink

Well, from the opposing bench, earlier today I scored an invitation as a guest for game 3 on Sunday in Miami. Funny, I just returned from there last night.

Now I have to figure out how to get back there without going broke, and tie the event to something related to BBQ. Not too easy in Miami. Bongo's Cuban Cafe probably doesn't qualify.

Sounds good. Thanks. I did go to a Thunder/Lakers game a couple months ago as a guest of some locals with season tickets. To date, they haven't seen fit to issue an invitation to finals. If it happens, I'll take you up on your offer.
