New owner of a SM025. Seasoned it a couple weeks ago and ran into the GFCI tripping issue... but worked through that. Smoked a rack of baby backs the day after that came out well.
But today.... put in my first brisket... and everything was going okay, but something went awry in the controller it seems because I walked out to check on it and the display read "HOT". Apparently the controller stopped cycling and just stayed on.... and it proceeded to blacken my brisket.
I've cooled it back down and pulled out the brisket and now I'm just testing it and it's still just overheating. No matter what temp I set it at it races up to 300+ and displays hot.
Needless to say I'm pretty pissed. Uggh.
