living in n. e. indiana we dont hane any orange trees!(lol) i tried some pellets once but it smelled like cardboard took it out and put in some apple insted. i thought i read or heard somewhere about using dry orange peels. has anyone tried before, ithink i will try a dry run first. thanks for any replys. paul

I don't think that would work. I've never tried dried peels, but I have burnt peels while cooking other things and they sure did stink.
You have lots of nice woods up there you can use for smoking.
I think I'd definitely try a dry run.
But you never know, you might be the first to start a new trend!
