Pls Help - 009 Stainless with GFCI popping

I have a 009 stainless steel smoker that I have has for 8 years. I keep it outside but well covered. It just starting tripping the GFCI when I turn it on. Yes, I tried other outlets in the house and the same thing happened. I turn it on and a few second later, it trips the GFCI. Any ideas on how to repair would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like your heating element has gone out. Give me a call here at Cookshack and we can get it replaced (800) 423-0698.

Did you get your problem solved. My GFCI did the same thing a couple weeks back on my new 009 in it's maiden run. I changed plug holes on the same outlet and it worked, but my 1st smoke wasn't the best.
