Probe for Traeger controller digital / nondigital

I replaced my Traeger controller with a digital readout with the new IQ4 controller, now I want to use the digital readout controller in my other FEC100, with a non-digital readout controller (it's one of the first FEC100's Cookshack made). Anyhow, can I use the same temp probe, or do I have to swap out the temp probes along with the controllers?

All the Traeger controls use the same temp probe.
