I just got my SM 025 and went through the seasoning process, during which the temperature reached 275 and the plummeted to 235, then climbed back to 275. It did this for the entire 4 hour seasoning process. Is this normal?

Welcome to the CS forum and congrats on the new smoker.
As for your question, the sm025 has a preheat program that will make it run on high for the first 20 minutes. This is to get the wood ignited.
Any of the CS's new smokers will also fluctuate in temps until the walls get black and the seams have sealed up with grease and smoke.
Have fun with the new smoker and don't be afraid to ask questions or call CS with any concerns.

Thanks cal, Looking forward to smokin' some baby backs this weekend for my first cook.
You will also find that your big temp swings will stop when you have a load in the smoker.
