I have read many of the posting about smoke rings. I am still not sure about the processe. What is the best way to achieve one? I know there are many thoughts and opinions on this subject . (I just like the way it looks in the meat.)

Add one or two briquettes in with the wood.

Oh boy! Smoke rings again!

This subject has been quite contorversial in times past. Do a search on "smoke ring" and you'll see what I mean. I've been adding 3 briquettes to my smoke and am satisfied. I like the looks too!

Good advice, just add charcoal. The nitrates in the charcoal "cure" the meat to give it that pink effect.

See, I can discuss SR without going bonkers

Jack...you're cruisin to be banned to the FE forum only...

FYI, you can do a search for "Smoke Ring" and in one of the threads, I did that very thing of using TQ to generate a SR.
