I've been using my smokette for a little more than a year. I've noticed something new starting to happen. During the early stages of the smoking process (when smoke is really pouring out of the vent hole), it appears that pressure is building up in the smokette. The smokette will make a popping noise and a puff of smoke is released from the vent hold, the bottom drain hole, and around the door. Is this normal? What causes it? And finally - can it damage the smokette?

We had a thread a while back and no one semed concerned.

There are some wood noises that will cause it and I think Stuart had a technical answer,also.

I have it happen occasionally and haven't had any problems.
