Smoke with hood? or not? Cookshack 260

I placed my order this week for the 260 and plan to put in directly in the kitchen. I am wanting to know, if I will have to have a hood? John said that I could just vent the smoke tube, and it should be fine. Any experience with this. I don't want to smoke up my store.

call your local health inspector on that one. hood requirements vary by where you are in the usa

We use the vent tube leading up to the exhaust fan. That works well for us and passed Florida inspection. If we don't run the fan, I can't stand the smoke.
