Speed of cooking on SM 025

I have had my Sm 025 for about 90 days now and everything I have tried to cook has gotten done faster than any other cooker I have owned I did two ten pound pork shoulders in nine hours I injected it with Apple juice and cooked at 225. I wrapped at 160. Nothing wrong with it tastes great but way faster than expected Ribs and brisket are also faster... just my box or is everyone else seeing this too.. BTW Beside the CS probe I have two Maverick probes in and I Thermopen them to make sure. Temp is right

Just an obvious question: have you checked the accuracy of your set temperature?

You don't say what you used prior to getting the 025. If the temps are correct and accurate, and the food good, consider yourself blessed. You can call or email CS and pose your question/concern to them.

These smokers are well built and very efficient. It may be just something you will have to get used to.

My butts in the SM020 took about 12-14 hours. But I always started them at 180 the night before then turned it up in the morning. Mostly for timing purposes. Ribs would take about 4 hours.

How is the quality of the food, that's the real decision point.

Every cooker/smoker is different, maybe the others were taking longer for a reason.

These are efficient smokers and I'd just suggest to take good notes and adjust.

Thanks all Good feedback here I was a propane water smoker guy until i saw the light I'll just have to adjust to great food being in my mouth faster :-)
