Does anyone have any info on a BBQ cook-off Mar 25 in St Petersburg? Anyone here going? My daughter talked her friends into going to one of these and this is the one they picked. I cant find any info on it on the Nat'l BBQ News.

I live in St. Petersburg and I have not heard one thing that comes close to that. The only event that goes on BBQwise in St. Pete is the Ribfest in November every year. That is not a sanctioned event.

ps. bob if she is thinking about coming to st aug 1st week in april tell her don't bother. the rythmyn and ribs fest is just a rib burn and will not accept any local restaruants or teams as competitors. the fba contest march 24th and 25th in jacksonville won't have a lot of teams as the promotor is requiring we buy all beverages and from my reading that includes water from him so we are passing on that deal.

Actually... she loves Jack & Peggys brisket. Dad's needs "more practice" according to her. hehe Thanks for all the info here folks. I think she has her locations & dates messed up.
