I know this doesn't pertain to pellets per se,but most of us know about Bill & Barb Milroy.

They have shared a lot with the forums and on an individual basis.

Most rib cooks use some variation of theirs,in competition.

Thanks for the post Tom. I was in Houston yesterday for a dinner meeting with a client who recently got a custom made Klose pit. I was killing some time at my hotel before our meeting and saw your post. Printed a copy and gave it to him and he immediately called 2 of his friends who are Klose owners. All 3 called David and signed up. They wanted me to pass on their thanks for the heads up.

Too bad DLS, the National BBQ show is going on and I just talked to Eddie and he is there in Houston at the show. Bill will also be there.

Tell your friends to come out to the Public Day on Saturday and they can probably talk to Bill direct

Smokin - Wish I would have known about the National BBQ show. Got in Houston earlier than expected yesterday and had about 5 hours to kill before meeting my client. It would have been a perfect way to spend that time. No deal today since I flew back to Chicago early this morning. BTW - Where is the show being held.

As for my friends, they had a earlier flight today to Breckenridge for a long weekend of skiing.

Smokin - Saw BBQ show at the Marriot Westchase in the Open Forum. About 15 minutes from where I was staying at the Omni Riverway. Also realized that since Public day is not until Saturday, I probably could not have been admitted anyway.

Yeah, but if you go to the hotel, you could hang out in the bar and THERE are some real stories about Q in there...

Tell your friends in Houston who signed up for the class to go by and meet Bill, he's a great guy!

My wife, Nancy, and I signed up for the course. Even though we own a FEC100, I am anxious to learn from Bill Milroy some of his techniques. Pluse it is only a short 6 hours drive down to Houston from San Angelo, TX. Ron

I'll be there as well. I took the earlier class with USA Smoke at Klose factory and the focus was on the cooking not on the cooking equipment. We used Klose Smokers but it all applied regardless of what you regularly use. I expect the same from this class

Hi all,
The class may be at Klose but Bill and Barbara have been cooking on FE's for years. They always have two in their trailer and that's what they cook their competition food on.
Have fun, I think you'll learn plenty.

Home? You kidding? I was in Lynchburg this morning, I'm in Atlanta now and Wednesday I head to Corpus Christi, TX.

Be sure to eat at Enrique's at the Ponca City airport. It's really good.

Great minds think alike. I found Enrique's while I was surfing the web looking for places to eat when we go to PC next month. And I found Enrique's in the search. Craig, it looks like a fantastic mexican restaurant. I watched a short video on it and was drooling by the end of it.
