sure would to read some great recipies for side dishes. i'll start us off....
sweet 'tater casserole

clean and wrap 5 lb sweet taters. bake in oven at 350 til soft. chill with jacket still on 'em(best to let set overnite). unwrap and peel off skin. mash 'em up with butter and brown sugar to taste(i use about a stick and a half and a cup of brown sugar).
butter up a glass casserole dish and put mixture in(sprinkle on cinnamin and add nuts if you like). heat in oven til good and warm. then add mini marshmellows on top. put back in oven for a few minutes til marshmellows are melting then let stand to cool. or brown the marshmellows with oven on broiler setting. mmm mmm good....
