Wow what a day Saturday was! Kansas had 96 Funnel reported, we have 58 on an average year.

The most scary was the first of the three that came close enough to have the sirens activated. The twister started about 150 miles away and grew to a F4, it was 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile wide. It was on the ground most of the trip but did raise up occasionally. It was on the ground for atleast 50 miles and raised as it came to the edge of our town (Salina) and did not set down until it passed town and just pass my farm. We followed it after passing by, it took all of the neighbors barns and fences. I was picking up trash, fixing fences, herding cows and doctoring cuts on calves into the night. Another neighbor, an elderly single lady, had all of her out buildings taken and some severe damage to her house. I am an electrican by trade so I was at her house till 9 pm tonight getting her power back on. The twister continued on for another 60 miles that I know of. It is so amazing the descruction they can do, I came home Saturday and said a pray of thanks that no one was severely hurt. It was special to see so many volunteer to help the misfortuniate. Well I had best be going, it is going to be another long day tomorrow.
