Boy, by the time I am through I will have to send out checks to everyone for the leads, advice and support. I am looking into several concession trailers to buy, and not really wanting to look like a carnie (no offense to carnies please), and have found a couple that I really like.
I love the southern yankee trailers, but ouch at cost.
Anyone have any other leads on a reliable, and attractive trailer maker?
Also placing a call in to check on ideas from customer service.

Thanks again......and yeah, the check is in the mail.....

u2,
in the pro forum scroll down and look for "took the plunge friday" and "trailer tech delievery delays"
kinsman and i both purchased trailers from www.trailer-tech.com
delays were mainly due to hurricanes
rig tows great and is everything (and then some) that we wanted
2 words of advice
1-if you get the 5 foot hood save some bucks and delete the a/c. with hood on and serving windows open a/c just goes up the hood!!!!
2- make them turn the greywater shutoff valve to run parrallel with the frame. we got ours ripped off by a road alligator!!!
in this forum look up the thread 2 greyhound rig pics we hope. this will give you an idea of what our rig looks like.
by the way it is called a TT818 custom and is 8 x 18 foot.
hope it helps
jack
Thanks you guys so much, I am contacting your leads, and just checkin to see if they can guide me through the buying, designing, and service process. I am looking for medium size, so the 22x8 size is about looking good, something that I can grow into, instead out of if that makes sense.
Again, appreciate the help a lot.
Hey, U2,
Being a carnie ain't so bad. You'll become one too if you serve from a trailer. You just have to be a really professional upscale carnie. Spitting tobacco and showing off the tattoos is something Jack didn't need to warn me about!
It's ok to ask people if they're hungry. It's ok to make a big show while pulling the pork. I don't like giving out samples. I feel too carnie doing that. Like I'm begging. A nice thing to do is to have some sort of handout, maybe a brochure from a local charity with a big "FREE-TAKE ONE" sign at the serving window. Make your charity something you know something about cause they might have questions. Lots of people will come up to the sign, you say, "Hi, are you hungry?" Most of them want a little something. Have stuff on the menu that people of all walks can afford.

I like our trailer. I don't think the guy that put the plumbing together was allright the day he did it, though. When we hit a speed bump the section between sinks falls down. It's one of those "DAMMIT" things that seems to keep Jack occupied for awhile. It's PVC pipe, he just sticks it back together, and we're fine.

I agree with him, don't waste money on A/C if you have an exhaust fan.

Peggy
