I'm considering putting together a competition trailer. I would like to cook inside the trailer. I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around how to vent the FEC 120. Any suggestions?
Woody I've been thinging about the same thing but in my garage vs. a trailer. I've been looking at Braun SS hoods. Thought about hanging the hood 3-4" above the smoker (FEC120) and venting directly outside via wall or up through the roof. Any luck with your project?
I run my comp out of a toyhauler traier. I run the cookers on the ramp of the trailer. I have a canapy that is attached to the trailer, which covers the ramp. It has made it through several mean storms. Putting them on the ramp, helps limit the smoke.
I just added my second FE to my trailer. It caused me to think a bit about how to configure it to work. If you are totally enclosed its one thing, if you have some ventilation, it's another. Mine is on the back with plenty of air to breath. But still have to deal with exhaust smoke. Attached is a picture of my solution. Hope it helps.
