Just received my mdl 50 and opened the wood assrtmnt. How in the heck do i know what i have ? None of this wood is marked (i am from ca. we don't have any hardwood or fruitwood to speak of so i don't know what i am looking at!!!!!

When I received my wood assortment there were four individual 5lb boxes contained in the one larger box each were stamped with the name of the wood.Mesquite,Hickory,Cherry and Apple. That was the way my order was sent. 
My order came the same as JoeyZ's. Check the boxes.

Joey Z is correct, each of the smaller boxes in the big box there will be a black stamp that tells you what the wood is in that box. Each one should be marked with either, Mesquite, Hickory, Cherry or Apple.

Thanks to all who responded,I did not make myself clear i received a small box packed inside my unit with an unmarked asstmnt of wood. I also received a large box with asstd wood with clearly marked smaller boxes inside. It is the small box i am asking about.
