Just received my smokette and wood sampler kit. The four boxes of wood that came in the sampler kit were not labeled and being somewhat wood challenged, I cannot tell which wood is which. HELP!

Did you try the float test? It's a cinch. Just ask Smokin Okie. The oak sinks; the hickory floats. Etc. 
Speaking of wood, a guy gave me a half-a-truck load of split, green pecan this weekend. It'll take a decade of smoking to use it all.
And 6 months to dry...
