How do do ribs right --- NOT!

Okay, we kid a lot (well maybe we're serious) about parboiling.

Here's a guys method for "perfect ribs"

It just PAINS me to see ribs boiling in water. I have this urge to go to his help and help him see the error of his ways.

BUT, if it works for him, guess that's fine for him, I just don't want to catch any of YOU doing it.

What's really funny is he does brisket on his grill low and slow.

Darn, that blanched white color looks great coming out of that boil! Okie, as an experienced 'cuer, maybe you can tell us when and how much liquid smoke to put in- its seems to have been left out of the recipe.

Hey, that guy might just be on to something. I checked out his other recipes and learned that you do BBQ Shrimp in a wok.

I'm scared to check out his brisket recipe.

I almost dry-heaved just looking at that pic.

And you banished me for the crock-pot thread?? For punishment you will be required to put one of those crock-pot 'pits' on your table at the next competition--even if just for show.

No Dennis, it doesn't work like that. As the enforcer of the rules, I was illustrating what NOT to do. IF you'd put a similar disclaimer in your post you'd been safe.

And besides, if you want to banish me, fine, it will give me time to work on other things.

Literally laughed out loud! Man, if people only knew what they were missing when they take these supposed short-cuts. Ya notice that the kid is not grinning from ear-to-ear as we've seen in recent pics. Throw the kid a real bone and he'd be jumping for joy!!!

I wasn't going to say anything about innocent kids, Wheelz, but since you brought it up... ol' Dirk looks like he's at a funeral when mom pops 'em out of the oven...but Brenden actually broke into a run (away) when she brought out those bleached bones...he thought they had dug somethin' up from the backyard!
