Smokin Okie,
Gotta give ya a pat on the back for moderating the CS forums. I've loved them and I've only been reading and commenting for 7 months or so.

Received the BBQ Newsletter from CS and they state:

"Check the forum this monthto find out more about our 5-year celebration. We are cookin' up some surprises for you."

Rumor has it you gotta spill the beans to all the forum members or your next 5 year term may be in jeopardy!!!! lol.

Job well done!

Smokin' your efforts are not only appreciated, but invaluble for those of us wading the BBQ stream fishing for info! You know all the good spots and save us alot of time.

Tom, pat yourself on the back as well. You cast your knowledge out there as well! We know, we know......your no expert, but you spent alot of nights in Holiday Inns with pro cooks! Big Grin

Thanks to CS for hosting this great forum for 5 years. I look forward to coming here for lots more years.

Happy 5th forum!
I have to Ditto all the good things said about this forum. THough I have only posted a few times and then only with problems I must say that the folks at CS have been super and the folks in this forum have been fantastic. I look forward to many years of great advice from those who have been there and done that....
I first found this forum while searching with Google for modifications for a new Brinkman S&P Pro. What I found I believe was the OLD forum. It was in text form... is rough..and talks a lot about low n slow. Took me almost 3 nites to read the whole thing and realize there was a newer forum out there. During my 20 months of being a 008 owner, I have had the privilege of meeting most of the Cookshack folks AND our own SmokinOkie and I have to say they are collectively some of the finest people I have ever been acquainted with. And like a lot of you here, I am almost ready to look into buying another CS smoker.

Thanks Smokin for making this, YOUR labor of love, the finest informational forum on the Net!

Bob
I have to say the same as everyone else.one of the main reasons I purchased my CS a couple of years ago,was because of the CS forum (thanks everyone for your help)I never had even seen a CS smoker, but I bought one anyhow to see what everyone on the forum was so excited about,& I am glad I did.(a 009)sold it to a friend because I wanted more space,so I bought a (055)& I love it too.I did not hesitate to buy CS brand again.thats how much I love it.Thanks everyone & CS for a great product & a great forum.

Gosh guys, tough week at work, hadn't been on the forum for days and I come back to THIS?

Nah, I gotta say I spend a lot of time behind the scenes (and I guess in front) but YOU GUYS make this what the forum is. If you look through old post, yup, in the original one Cadillac, Tom and I did a lot of posting there.

But over the years, the forum has emerged and now all of you contribute as much as I do.

You make it good for me to come back to.

Make sure you click on "directory" at the top of the page (it's below the text that says "COOKSHACK BARBECUE FORUM"), and you can see who's made the most posts besides Tom and I.

Smokin'

p.s. Hey 'Nooga, don't know what you're talking about, but you'll just have to keep reading Wink Surprises soon.
