Hi.

Some may have tried this, if so, I could use some tips or tricks, general input. I print up card stock for my serving window off my computer and printer. I use print, pictures, whatever, looks nice but it doesn't have longevity. Now, my idea is this, I get printable static cling sheets and do my drinks, specials, whatever on those and just apply to the window. I believe that they may fade, but they have to be better than the paper I would think. They should look more professional and I can order from the net in large quantities for about 30 dollars.

Seems like an easy way for the little guy to do better POS advertising.

I am going to try it as soon as I get the cling sheets.

Any input?

I like the clingy-thingy idea.

I like to use pictures and interesting graphics too but like you I'm not real happy with the printing capabilities at home, and I have an OK printer.

I imagine you'd have to print on opaque stock, though, or it might be hard to see the print/pictures?
Hi .

I am going to talk to my daughter-in-law about this. She does graphics for a living and from what my son tells me she says it can be done.

I will keep you posted as to how it works for me and if there are any "trade secrets" she has that will make it all work right.

She has offered to do them for me, but I would like to know how to do them myself too. Anything I learn I will share with all of you.

This just seems like a very clean way to get nice print, graphics and artwork up on a window. I am so tired of tape!

Take care!

Hi.

I found the cling sheets on my last trip into Wausau (a large city down the road from us) and purchased a pack. They are called Ink Jets Window Decals. You can reposition them, so that is good. They are expensive, very expensive. Five sheets for about $14.00. I can get them much cheaper from Avery online, but I wanted to try them first. These are by Royal Brites and I may be able to get these cheaper online too.

I haven't printed them yet. I want to be very sure of what I print and how I do it. Smiler If they look good I will order the larger quantity and it will be a good thing!

You are right on the fading. If they do fade, so what, as long as I can get them at a fairly reasonable price and they look good I have a better thing going than the paper!

Let you know how they work for me!
