Amerique Display Heading South

I have one of the older models of the Amerique.. and last time I used it I noticed the display was not giving me full digits.. and began to disappear as things warmed up.

Has anyone else had this problem? I called and they said it was the controller which is the part of the display.

I can't believe this thing is almost $300. Has Cookshack offered some sort of help with this? Bad design? Why would something like this go out?

I am having the same problem. I got to save up for a new controller. They are expensive!

Ours is still lighting up ok, but has developed a crack in the membrane. Hope it keeps working for a while longer.
