i have access to a venison roast about 5-8 lbs, was wondering if anybody has cooked one and what was the recipe and how did it turn out?did you smoke it or just cook it? any help would be appreciated
Heck, there are a bunch of fine folks that don't mind helping newbies out, seems like most of us had to have help more then a few times.

Don't take it past medium rare (voice of experience talking here) or you'll regret it.
I did one recently internal temp to about 155 cooked at 225 marinated in dr pepper for a day then added garlic and rub. turned out ok. It is easy to over cook
