AQ stops producing smoke, help!

I've had my AQ for a little bit now and I love it. The only problem is it stops producing smoke after about an hour. I've tried placing 2oz and bigger chunks in different places in the wood box (haven't tried the very back yet) and nothing seems to help. My smokette elite doesn't have these problems and will produce smoke for hours with the same amount of wood. Any tips on how to fix this?

I have an AQ, and it wouldn't produce smoke when I first got it. Had to bend the element a bit so it would touch the wood box. Is the wood you are using turning to ash when your smoke is complete? If so then you are getting good contact. Remember the good smoke is the kind you can't hardly see. I get about an hour of the white smoke from mine then I get the good light or blue smoke for a couple hours more with about 6oz of wood.
