I have read the previous threads on trout. How well does it work to toss some rainbow trout without any brine in the AQ, maybe just seasoning and lemon. Any suggestions as to time and temp for average size trout ? Would 1 oz. of alder but sufficient for smoke ? Lastly, I have read different opinions about this - am I going to fish up my wonderfully pork lined AQ ?

I haven't tried troout but I've done a lot of salmon and whitefish.

I make a 'sauce' of butter, onion, lemon juice and lime juice. Melt the butter and saute the onions. Then add the juices.

I put the fish in a small baking dish and pour over the sauce. Cook for an hour or more depending on the thickness of the fish.
