BBQ places in Minneapolis?

I believe they may have a Famous Dave's there.

It is a large national chain,and draws assorted opinions.

That isn't exactly bbq country.

Famous Dave's isn't to high on many lists, lately. You can find them at most fests, fairs, and outside the dome.

KCBS record setter Stone Blue BBQ lives there. Drop in on him.

How is Cactus Bob's in West Des Moines doing? I met them this spring, and they said they were going to cook on a FE2000.

Thanks for the info guys. I've been to the Famous Dave's locally and thought it was pretty average. However, I did have some of their brisket one time and it wasn't bad. Not as good as from my CS but not bad. I'll be sure to look up Stone Blue BBQ. It's always nice to try some different places out. I'm not familiar with Cactus Bob's here in West Des Moines. I'll have to see if I can locate them. I make it to Hawg Eyes once and a while, mainly for supplies but once in a while I grab a sandwich or something....

There is a local chain called Market BBQ. They have a few locations, including one in Minnetonka (west suburbs). They're not bad. Also, there is a place on I-394 west of downtown called Shelley's Woodroast (or something similar) and they have pretty good ribs.

Very good. No liqour, but good Q and if I remember right they use all CS smokers. And Market BBQ in Mpls. I think on Nicollette Ave. is also very good
