I have a cooked beef brisket that has been frozen. Can I thaw thebrisket to proportionately  divide it and then re-feeze it

I have done this with various cuts of meat with no problem. I would thaw it in the fridge (so the outside of the brisket stays at a safe temp), just until you can get a heavy knife through it, not all the way thawed. Then package and refreeze.
