I own a Smokin Tex oven made just like the Cookshack ovens and works the same.It has been a great investment for me as I use it about 3-4 times a month for cookouts and special family dinners. The Bradleys have to use the biscuit shaped wood patties. So you always have to order them from bradley.Cookshack and Smokin Tex ovens are flexible in being able to use wood chunks you can buy at Walmart or about anywhere.I also have used wood pellets laid on foil for smoke too.Cookshack is known for excellent service when you contact or call them!I am not sure how good Smokin Tex is about service as I have not had to call or contact them since my purchase last year. All I can say is research and yak with others on this forum and make up your mind to what is comfortable for you,Enjoy!
I too own a SmokinTex and love it but would advise you to go with Cookshack. I would have went with CS had I known of it at the time. Do a search on Bradley, etc and you will see that most will advise Cookshack. Customer service is second to none and this forum, though it accepts most anyone, is the kicker!

Go with Cookshack! Big Grin

I was once in the same situation as you, but after reserching all the other smoker for over 5 months I have found you just can not beat CS tech. help or help from this great forum.
Yesterday I bought a model 55, because of my 5 month serch.
Go to cabelas or any other place that has both smokers and you will see that the cook shack smokers are made to last.
I know you are thinking gosh this guy has only had his smoker for one day.
Compare them and you will see the difference.

I have had a bradley and can honestly say its not even close to the quality of the cookshack. I can also tell you that you had to work 5 times as hard to get decent Q out of the bradley, the cookshack almost cooks itself, plus everything i have made in the CS was far superior to anything i ever made in the bradley.
