LOL, well...all of us with model 50's and 55's will say "ALRIGHT" you made the right choice. But,

All the people with model 008 smokette's will say you didn't need to switch. My motto is that it is better to have more space than you need than to wish you had more.

If you can afford another $200, I would recommend getting the model 55 stainless steel. Cool

Seriously, I think you will enjoy the Model 50 very much. With the larger capacity you can smoke enough in one load to have a batch of Que to freeze for later. You can cook for a group. (I have a Model 160 on my deck and I can smoke enough at one time for big parties.) You can smoke enough turkeys or hams at holiday time (in one load) to do some for other people.

Just enjoy it. Barbecue is for having fun!
