Bracket?

One more possibly dumb question and I should be done for awhile. There is a bracket screwed to the back wall of my smokette. It's approximately 7" long, and attached horizontally about 3" above the smoker box. I find no reference to this in the owners guide or forum. Is it related to the cold smoke kit, or something else?

Well, to tell you the truth, I don't know. But, maybe that's because I don't own one of these precious machines.

So, how 'bout somebody helping Tim here.

That bracket holds the probe from the thermostat.
