I've got a potentially dumb question--I cooked some briskets over 4th of July and they turned out well, but I personally preferred the "point" meat over the flat. It got me to thinking--if you can buy the flat without the point attached, can you buy just the point without the flat?

If not, is there another cut of meat (other than brisket) that might yield bbq similar to the point? Something like a chuck roast?

The reason you like it, is the fat to meat ration is about 50/50, that's why it's more moist.

You can buy them, but it so very much depends on your region. Start with your butcher.

I live in beef country and they don't sell them that way, I have to ask (and personally I hope they never do, there will be more for us that like them)
