Make NO mistake, CS will treat you as family for buying their product, but I must ask. Why save a few dollars(over a long period of time), when a company provides this forum?

This forum, along with CS will make sure that you are TOTALLY satisfied with your purchase, IMO. If not you can return it for your money back, before 30 days.

Now ask yourself who was nice enough to provide this forum. That should answer your question.

Please, don't make the same MISTAKE as me, but if you do, I'm confidant you'll be happy either way.
I'm a little bit old fashion, so don't laugh to long. I went to Cabelas, because they had the cs020 in stock. That was the smoker I wanted after hours of research, I had never even seen a CS in person and this is the "Show me State". I was happy with the price and the fine salesperson at Cabelas, who thought highly of the CS products, so I made a purchase promptly.

BEST buy I have ever made,IMO. It took only a short period of time for me to realize that this cs020 would be my kids in 30yrs or so. In that same period of time I also realized that CS was doing business the correct way, customer 1st.

My mistake was not supporting them 100%, because they deserve it,IMO. Tell me how much I saved over that 30yr by buying it from the CHEAPEST site? I told you not to laugh about my old fashion ways, but IMO, America would be a little better off if there were more loyal companies like CS that put their customers 1st.

Now ask yourself how do we, Americans, make sure there is more companies like CS?

Have FUN with that new smoker, because your gonna love it!
None of the replies can be considered incorrect.

I don't know that CS is in the business of trying to "pricematch" against their own dealers, but I could be wrong.

Like cal says, when you talk to one of the couple folks at the plant, they are next door to the room where they are making the cookers.
They are local Okies that own the cookers, cook on them, handle your problems, suggest your supplies, help you make the correct decision for your application, maybe take yours in on trade-if there is a model you may wish to change to-they know what may be available, setting next door.

Cooking questions,or which tech to talk to.
You'll be on a first name basis with those folks for a couple decades.

Some other folks may have the young kid in pool supplies, trying to sift thru the garden tractors, and asking you "what gas grill was that"?

Cal suggests that when your kids call in with help on it someday, those few dollars, over that many cooks can seem insignificant.

Either way,Cookshack will always sort out a problem and make it right.

We don't try to beat our dealers' prices -- I don't think they would like that very much!

Everyone at Cookshack appreciates the praise we get from our customers on the forum. I, for one, love my job because people like our smokers so well. It's always great to get the kind of support that the Cookshack Nation gives.

As far as I am concerned, we make each other winners -- we get to sell smokers and pay our bills, you get to serve great 'que to your family and friends. What could be bad about that, as the Barefoot Contessa on the Food Channel would say?
Places like Cabela's aren't selling products for nothing, so I can imagine that there's a margin between what they pay CS for the products and what they sell them for. Personally, I'd rather buy direct from the producer, putting more money in the producer's pocket. Maybe it's not a lot of money, but it might help keep a great company like CS in business longer, or at least a little more meat in their smokers. Wink
I just received my new AQ last week. I purchased it from a dealer. My opinion is if CS did not want you to buy from a dealer, they wouldn't have a dealer network setup. It enables them to get their products to more parts of the country. Many companies do this for marketing reasons. If they sell cheaper than their dealers, they wouldn't have many dealers for very long. Just my opinion.
Gary I.

P.S.
I already love my new AQ.
Hello everyone!
I am a newbie to cookshack. I have gone from one wood smoker to another and finally decided to go with the cookshack. The one I wanted all along.
I bought mine from the charcoal store and got free shipping and a cheaper price. I called cookshack about the warranty and they said it would be there with this unit. I wanted to buy it from cookshack direct but missed the 10% off and free shipping by one day and the girl on the phone would not extend this promo to me.
I am really excited about using my smo25 and my father whois 70 is more excited than me. Cant wait till i get it. 3 more days!!!! Razzer
Welcome Beach. i too am a newb but so far the best thing I've ever purchased in my 40 years. I too bought from the Charcoal Store but that is because that is where I learned about Cookshack. I was tired of fighting my Bullet style smoker and after talking to the Charcoal store they directed me to this forum. After researching on here awhile I finally ordered from them. Your gonna love tour CS.
Thanks everyone for replying to my post!
I am counting the hours until my cs gets here.
I love sitting and having a few beers and waiting for the final outcome of my smoked meats. I am really excited about smoking with the cs.
I have been reading many post on the forum and I am learning many things. This forum is a great asset to cookshack. Best wishes to you all!
