Catering business

I go to alot of fishing tournament and skeet shoots,and everyone of them is catered. Trying to get info on starting a Business like that on the side. I already have almost all the equipment. Looking for the formal in and regulations.
I tried the Health District 4-5 times they are clueless.
Any help out there ?

Hope you will get some help from some of the cater's out there. I would recommend talking to our distributor in Houston, TopLine Distr. Dean Inman is the Sales Manager there and would probably be able to direct you to the right place. His phone number is (800)568-8246.

Sorry, I just came to this site.

Catering is not a good part time business. Mainly because catering from home is illegal. If you cater, you must get a foodservice permit from the city/county health dept. You must have liability insurance to protect your ASSets. Otherwise you are being plain foolish.

Should you be fortunate enough to gain access to a permitted kitchen, to properly store your groceries and prepare your sides, then you might be able to pull this off.
