As I sit here typing, I'm pondering my menu for the weekend (just me and the roomates, but I like to plan ahead). I was thinking of cooking a roast in the same fashion that I would in a crock pot, only in the FEC instead. Any thoughts? I've done thin on stick burners before, so I'm thinking the flavor will be outstanding. What are your thoughts? I'm also thnking of doing a cobbler (I read it today in my "OnQ) and sounded good. Looks like my menu is starting to take fine shape- I can't wait!

bbq,
it will work out fine.
when i don't have enough leftover brisket to do my brisket gravy and briskets i have done what you are talking about. one thing i do though is place the roast up on a rack and barring that a rack made from celery stalks and 1/2 carrots works out real fine. just between us i like the veggie rack the best.
