Does anybody know what product is best for cleaning the exterior stainless steel of the model 55 CS Smoker? I would like to get something that will not harm the shiny metal finish, but will clean it well.
Dont worry about the stainless steel. You will not hurt the shine with any retail degreasers. I like "Mean Green" purchased at Dollar General for 2 bucks.
I also have a produce called Sheila Shine which is basically a silicone spray to "shine" the metal. It also makes it easier to clean later... I get Sheila shine from Sysco....

Thanks for the info, I have heard of sheila shine, we used to use it at a restaurant I worked at about 15 years ago. I'll look for mean green at wal mart.
Simple green is good for everyday cleaning.. but doesnt work as well as Mean Green on tough grease... but if you keep it clean with Simple Green, you will never need the Mean Stuff....
I just bought some Mean Green at Wal-Mart. The clerk said that if I can't find Mean Green in the future, that Greased Lightning works just as well. Now I need to find where I can buy some Sheila Shine. Maybe I will check with some Restaurant Supply stores.
I have never heard of Wally World, we don't have those stores around here. LOL, sounds like an amusement park.
