Cleaning my SM020?

I love my SM020, but it's a pain to clean compared to my old 008. I can't seem to remove the foil and wipe it out with a paper towel without cutting my hands on the bar that supports the wood box.

How do you clean your 020/025 without drawing blood?

Hi!
Just wondering if the metal you're having trouble with couldn't be filed down a little just to take off the edge. Maybe a simple fix?

Try using a pair of heavy duty house cleaning gloves; not the thin ones. They're also thick enough for handling hot butts, briskets, etc.
