I've been looking at all the churches and clubs that have them around here. Nobody seems to want more customers. But I haven't even asked them how much they charge.

I have heard that they are as booked as they want to be. I am seriously thinking about whether opening a commissary might be a viable option, possibly including a smoker.

From what I gather, in some places these kitchens are in high demand.

For those who use one, a few questions....

1. Who is responsible for cleanup? I mean the dishes and stoves after they are used, not just general clean up.

2. Are there people at the commissary who work there when you use it?

Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.

we have a place u here in illinois called now were cookin. they rent space to others who need a kitchen. Space is rented by the day, if you rent you clean up and have to be checked out. someone is alwayse there to oversee. if you rent often then you can rent space to store dry goods and equipment
the phone number is 847-570-4140

very nice people they do catering and cooking classes to keep the staff busy year round.
Check out the chuches again. This time offer to cook for their feed the hungry programs a few times a year in return for the use of the kitchen when you need it. If you don't need to use the kitchen very much this is a great way to get a kitchen for a 'donation' of time and food a couple times a year. The added benefit is that you are putting your name out to the locals.
