I just got the March news email and they finally anounced that they will be installing the new cook and hold controller in new FEC-100s starting later this month. They were talking about this at the December class and I have been waiting for the announcement. I looked at the CS website and there is no mention yet. At the class, Stuart said that he did not know then whether this would be offered as an user upgrade kit or if your FEC had to returned to CS to have it installed. Does anyone know this information or the cost? The Traeger controller has always been the weak link on the FEC and this new one sounds like they went all out correct its flaws.

Fast Eddy's FEC 100 Updated with IQ3
Electronic Controller (http://e2ma.net/go/210221164/172588/4821559/goto:http://cookshack.com/shopping/pgm-more_information.php?id=88&=SID)

Effective later this month, the Fast Eddy's by Cookshack Model FEC100 will come standard with Cookshack's IQ3 controller, with an optional meat probe. You set the internal temperature, and the cook and hold temperatures. When meat reaches the desired internal temperature, the smoker automatically goes into a holding cycle. Cool, huh? Turning out winning 'que just got easier than ever. Call John or Fast Eddy at 1-800-423-0698 for details.
