It is 2 years old and never had a problem before. Put on 3 rack's of BB's on Smoke but it will not stop feeding pellets and temp shooting up well over 300 and kicking off the breaker.

Thoughts?? Turned if off a couple of times for close to 10 minutes. When I turn it back on, it keeps on feeding and temps shoots up again

One thing that happens is the ignite doesn't ignite the pellets. If you get "pot overrun" which is when the pellets overflow it's because they didn't ignite.

That's why they suggest turn it on for 3 min (so the auger puts pellets in the pot) turn it off, then turn it back on.

That might have been what was happening???
When my FEC first arrived, it did the same thing. It turned out to be the connectors on the Traeger controller. They do not lock together and sometimes the connections are not too good. Try unplugging them and plugging them back together. After this incident, I put ty-wraps around the connectors to hold them tightly together and have never had that problem again.

The thing that you said "trips breaker" is interesting. Being an electrician I run into this problem all the time and it would explain both problems Controller and breaker. If you were to run a lower than design voltage by bad source or connection as the voltage goes down with the load remaining constant the amperage would go up. Since breakers look at amperage not voltage they would trip out. Also the controller would not work at low voltage leaving the auger running steady. As pointed out before look for bad internal connections but also make sure your extension cord is large enough, short enough and in good condition and your source is at least 110 VAC.
