Contact CS. It may or may not be proprietary.
The controllers in the residential units are not very good and finicky. They are highly overpriced if you have to replace one. They don't like any water or humidity. CS needs to find a new controller vender.
I have never had any problems. Not finicky from my experience. Works fine since 2012 without issues.
Same here, no issues since 2013 on my SM-066. Lives in an unheated garage until I pull it out to use it. Never expose it to rain. If you keep it outside in the weather, covered or not, YMMV. It's an electrical cooking appliance, not a grill.
