I don't know how to say it, except aloud, Folks, and you know I don't mince words...but! The Bradley Big One is being really pushed up here right now, for less than a Smokette. By almost 100 buckeroonies, and a couple hundred if ya don't have to pay freight.

Even stocked here in little Seward at Spenard Builders Supply.

STOP ME, if you can? Don't know about them little pill smoke dealies, but love the glass door.

These things are really being pushed! You can't rely on Anchorage.....buncha yuppies who order take-out. Ya gotta REACH OUT to the villages and rural folks! Have not seen a CS anywhere, except my house.

Alaskans are a Big Smokin' State. We just don't do it like you Southern Folks do.

Fish and Game...and most out of necessity...is our Thing. Valuable asset. Just ask Bradley? Sneak someone over there and check it out! BIG promo! Roll Eyes
I initially compared the cookshack and the bradley before deciding on the cookshack. While the initial cost may be lower, it appears that they really get you on the back end. You have to use their proprietary "biscuts" at a rate of 3 biscuts per hour and a relatively high price per box of 36 (12 hours of smoking). I also ran across several negative posts on the other forum from bradley owners that wanted to return their units. I'm a happy cookshack owner and have had no regrets. Just my 2 cents.

There was a vendor pushing Bradley at our recent state fair. It was an interesting contraption. Don't remember any glass door, though, and can't imagine someone wanting that - the heat would be hard to control. Probably just for demo purposes, huh?

Anyway, there was an "off" kinda' smell in the one this guy was using. I assume it was from whatever substance is used to hold those little bisquits together...

If folks were to be able to compare the two, the OBVIOUS choice would be CS...
Well, Tom..the chair where I always sit by the window has a close-up view of my electric meter. I'm always lookin' at that baby to see how fast she's spinning. When Smokette is working, she spins off the dial! At 18 cents per kilowatt hour, it is a concern...for about a second! LOL! The results are well worth it! Eeker
I have a Cookshack and a couple Big Green Eggs. Love 'em all. I like the Eggs for steaks, burgers, pizza, etc., where you want a hot temp. But you can't beat the CS for low 'n slow cookin' and smokin'. One of the best things about it is that it is so easy for the wife to use. She loves it.
