Have any of you , ever smoked a cow tongue

I've cooked them before. Fresh tongue is like very lean pot roast and smoked tongue is like a very lean ham. Both were good. I stewed these. I might try smoking a fresh tongue soon.

We have tongue here quite often... and my wife always boils it for a long time in order to get the skin off. Claims the skin can't be taken off any other way. So I've convinced her that next time, after she gets the skin off, we'll smoke it for about an hour and see how it goes....

The skin thing sounds right. I know years ago my Mom presure cooked them ,I thought it was because it will not be tender.
