I was bored and watching foodtv and saw some great looking duck dishes. Since domestic duck seems to have a high fat content, I thought "Why not smoke one"? Has anyone tried smoking a domestic (store bought) duck?

Just did a search for smoked duck using the "find" button above and got 42 hits. Haven't read them but sounds like it would be a good thing to try.

I did the search before my posting. Everything seemed to be for wild duck. Domestic duck is much different, so I was just seeing if anyone had experience with it.
I haven't tried smokin domestic, but do agree that eatin wise it is a totally different animal than a wild duck. give it a try and let us know.
Ps. wild duck isn't half bad in a CS, so the domestic will definately be better.
