Experience with Smoke Hood?

I saw the smoke hoods listed on the site... but there are no pics there. They say they attach to the unit, with grease filter and fan. Anyone had experience with these? Do they sit atop the unit or suspend above? Do they then need to vent outdoors or get attached to another existing vent?

Our smokehood is for our larger units, model 150 and above. It sits on top the unit and has a connection for a 4 in pipe out the back. It needs to be vented to the outside, either with a pipe or through an existing hood.

It's pretty hard for me to admit it, but we don't have any digital photos of the smokehood and I don't have a scanner at the moment. Email me your snail mail address and I will mail you a brochure.

The hood does have a built in fan that pulls the smoke up into the hood and out of your building through a 4" pipe. It has a grease filter built in, however it doesn't really need one, the filter is really a safety feature to keep anything from going into the fan.
