FEC 100 ??

I just ordered my 100 this week and have a few questions.
1. Is this a wet smoker? I have heard the term on the forums or do you need the water infusion device I saw in the FEC section.
As you can tell I am new to smoking and can't wait to burn something in this machine. I am not a rookie to grillin I have cooked on open pits for years for large groups. Cant wait to try this new phase.

No, this isn't a wet smoker. Water infusion device? Don't know that I've heard of that.

Read through the owners section before it arrives. Pick something short and simple, say ribs for a first try. Then do a butt.

Smokin's answer still holds.

That looks like something from the traditional Cookshacks,which are really wet smokers and it wasn't needed.

Ignore it.

Yes, the "other" smokers have an optional water magazine, but not the FE.

You won't need it.

Let us know how the first cook goes.
