Moved this to the FEC forums.

The hard part is to figure out why the temp dropped. Obviously the fire went out if it's 58 degrees. This can happen manually if you try to jump the temp up to high from a lower temp and the smoke is trying to throw a bunch of pellets out fast. Say 160 to 300+.

Sometimes the temp is set too low and the pellets aren't feeding right. Could be a number of problems including power interruption even too much wind into the side.

If it's a rare occurance it's hard to isolate why so you need to try to isolate it to figure out what conditions might have existed.

For me, a fire out has always been one of those two issues.
