Well....the first experience is over. Like some of you had stated in responses to my previous questions, I should have planned more accordingly as I was bringing this butt with me to a party at my parents house. As it was getting close to party time I had to pull it early. I pulled it at a temp of 174 and double wrapped it in heavy duty foil. I finished it in the oven at my parents house at 250. When all was said and done this 8.14 pounder took about 16 hours. I pulled it at 190. I have to say that I was thrilled with the results and so was the rest of the party as it was the only dish in which there were no leftovers. I was smiling on the inside because of that. In the next day or so I will post all the pics that I have of this butt smokin' experience. I LOVE THIS COOKSHACK 08, a great great great American piece of machinery.
