Tried my first cook this past weekend, Two 6lb shoulders took 15 hours, fall off the bone delicious. The hardest part was not taking a peek during the 15 hours. Trying a brisket this weekend. LIFE IS GOOD....

And you forced yourself to pass the test which most newbies fail, "Don't open the door!" Way to go! It only gets better from here. Experiment with wood, rubs and sauces. Be creative and share your experiences with the rest of us. Be patient and have fun!!!
