My FE100 shut down last night after about 20 minutes. I had been hearing a buzzing/creaking noise this summer and thought the shaft might be in a bind. What I found when taking the side panel off was the auger motor freely floating on the end of the auger shaft attached only with the small screw to the shaft and occaisionally flopping the little fan blade into the wiring bundle.
After pushing the reset, the motor turns the shaft, but the shaft has about 1" of play back and forth, but turns freely. I did see two screws lying on the ground, but I don't see a bracket or any obvious way that they would have been holding the motor to anything.
I think the shutdown was just a circuit breaker issue because it's on a ground fault circuit that can be finicky.
Anybody run into this? I can't find any pictures of how the motor is held and the manual doesn't show anything.
