Hey y'all! New guy here. Just call me Rick.

I'm picking up a used comp/catering rig Sat in Alabama. It's been used by the Whoop-de-Que team for the past year or so. Apparently with some success. It comes with a fec100 and Backwoods competitor w/convection. Heck, some of you have probably seen it!

Honestly, I've never given "pellet munchers" much consideration. Although I do admire the fact they seem simple to use and they cooked a good product, it just didn't seem right. I actually kinda like tending to a fire (maybe it's the pyro in me) and being a part of the "late night crowd" that hangs out at the comps. But I'm not so hung up or diehard on "wood" fires and charcoal that I won't at least give the fec a shot. I might actually come to like this thing, ya think?

Anyways, I'm sure I'll have some questions and it appears someone here will have the answer. So thanks in advance and I'm looking forward to learning from y'all on how to use this cooker.

Welcome Rick, Your getting a great rig. Troy it set up right. I daw that he was selling it on E-Bay the other day and was tempted. I am glad someone in here bought it. You will enjoy the FEC. I have been cooking on pellet cookers for a couple of years now and love them.

I am supposed to my new FEC on Mon or Tue so I know how you feel right now. I hope you enjoy it. This is the place if you have any questions about the smoker to ask. I don't know if we can help you out about the other smoker Troy had on the trailer.

But welcome,
Craig

P.S You might want to pay Troy a little extra for those secret recipe's he has. He beat us this year.... Smiler
